Spiral Wound Lead Acid

Similar in size and power to the 500 series chargers, the 500C series address a unique construction style within the lead acid family. Specifically designed to work with Spiral Wound lead acid cells, the chargers begin charging using a current limited constant voltage source set to 14.75 volts. When the charge current tapers to 1 amp, the charger switches to a constant current mode, supplying 2 amps for one hour. At the end of this hour, the charger changes to a constant current set to .1 amps as a maintenance mode current.

The Series 500C chargers are available in two models, the Model 510C and the Model 520C. These units are identical in appearance to their conventional counterparts. To define an order specification, use the form:
                                                             AAA C-BB

Where AAA is the model number, and BB is the nominal battery voltage, either 06 or 12. For a single output charger working into a nominal 12 volt battery, the specification would read:
                                                               510C-12.
