Lithium Ion Chargers

The Model 6040 uses a low voltage input, generated by a wall mounted transformer, with a power envelope of 30 watts. The bulk charge current is then determined by dividing the battery voltage into 30, with a current limitation of 2.5 amps. The low voltage input is determined by the voltage of the battery to be charged. The unit is available for domestic use with a wall transformer using 120 VAC, 60 Hz. However, other voltage and frequency transformers are available upon request.

To specify the charger, select the appropriate model as before, then the number of cells, finally the constant current charge current. Use the format:

AAAA-B-CC-DDD

AAAA is the model number, such as 6040. B is the cell count, from one to four. CC is the constant current charge current, and DDD is the AC voltage the external transformer must operate with, 115 or 230. For a Model 6040, charging 2 MP 144350 cells in series, operating from 115 VAC, the specification would read:

6040-2-10-115
